DE Filter Acid Wash

Item needed to acid wash a DE filter:

• 2 Gallons Liquid Muriatic Acid (Hydrochloric Acid), or Acid Magic Muriatic Acid Replacement
• Trisodium phosphate (TSP)

To Acid Wash A DE Filter:

1)  Remove the grids.  

2)  Soak the grids for 12 hours in a 50 gallon container with a solution of 2 parts water to 1 part acid, and a tablespoon of TSP..

3)  Reassemble the grids.

4)  Add DE powder.
