How To Install The ECOsmarte Pool System
Items Needed To Install The ECOsmarte Pool System:
- Ruler/Measuring Tape
- Sharpie/Marker
- Hacksaw
- PVC Cleaner
- PVC Glue
- Screwdriver
- Screws To Mount Control Box
Installing the Control Box:
The control box is water proof and can be installed indoors or outdoors. Install the control box up off of the ground on a fence or wall within about 6 feet of the pump and filter.
1) Simply screw the control box into place approximately 6 feet off the ground.
Installing the Electrode Chamber:
The electrode chamber can be installed vertically or horizontally. Install the chamber between the pump and filter, or between the filter and pool, on the pressure side of the piping.
1) Make sure the pump and filter are off and the valves are closed to prevent water leaking during installation
2) Measure 11" in the plumbing line where the chamber is to be installed. Mark the 11" with a sharpie/marker
3) Using a hacksaw, cut out the 11" section from the plumbing line.
4) Clean the cut ends of the plumbing line with PVC Cleaner.
5) Apply glue to the PVC ends and slip the male union ends onto the cut ends of the plumbing line. Allow to dry.
6) Screw the ECOsmarte Electrode Chamber onto the male union ends. The orientation of the electrodes should be the copper electrodes first in the flow of water.
7) Attach the colored wires from the control box onto the electrode chamber. Green and Red wires attach to the copper electrodes. Black and White wires attach to the titanium electrodes. One wire to each electrode.
8) Open the valves to put the system into operation.
9) Follow operating instructions to begin using the ECOsmarte Pool System.
