If you are located in a region where freezing water is not a concern, lower the pH to 6.8 and raise the copper level to .8 ppm.  

There is no need to run the pump and filter every day.  

You must, however, run the pool if a frost warning is issued. 

Southern pool owners may adjust pH every 2 or 3 weeks in a non-circulating pool for maximum control.
