The Pool Opening & Clearing Kit combines GLB Algimycin 2000 non-metal algaecide with GLB Oxy-Brite non-chlorine shock in quantities selected for your pool size. Recommended for ECOsmarte pools, it helps eliminate algae and restore clear water at pool opening or whenever an algae bloom develops. Choose the option that matches your pool’s gallon capacity.

25,000–40,000 gallons

  • 1 quart GLB Algimycin 2000 Non-Metal Algaecide
  • 16 pounds GLB Oxy-Brite Non-Chlorine Shock

How to Use

  1. Test the pool water and adjust it to the recommended ECOsmarte ranges before treatment.
  2. During daylight hours, add the Algimycin 2000 according to its label directions.
  3. Allow the algaecide to circulate for 12–24 hours.
  4. Add Oxy-Brite at a rate of 5 pounds per 20,000 gallons, adjusted for your pool volume.
  5. Continue filtering the pool. If the water is not approximately 90% clear after 24 hours, repeat the Oxy-Brite treatment.
  6. Test for phosphates after the algae has been killed and use phosphate remover if needed.
  7. Backwash or clean the filter when its pressure rises 6–10 psi above the clean starting pressure.

Important

  • Use only non-metal algaecide in an ECOsmarte pool.
  • Do not mix the two products together.
  • Follow all product-label directions and safety precautions.
