To lengthen the life of your backwash hose, follow these guidelines;

Lay hose flat, with no bends or kinks, before turning on filter backwash.
To prevent premature leaks, do not drag hose across rough surfaces such as pavement.
Allow hose to dry completely before rolling it up for storage.
Store hose up off of the ground.
