A proper measurement is vital when you are swimming in an ECOsmarte product. Ideal pH levels fall in the 6.8 to 7.2 range, which this kit can accommodate. Other brands may not offer the accuracy you need to know whether your earth-friendly pool is thriving or in need of maintenance. Each kit includes a plastic sample tube, phenol red and a color comparison samples so you can obtain immediate results. Clean your recreational waters more efficiently by performing regular tests so you never lose a single day of relaxation and fun in your pool or spa!

How To Test:
1) Make sure the plastic sample tube is clean and dry. Take a sample of water about 18" below the surface of the water - and away the return jets and skimmers
2) Add 5 drops of phenol red to the sample, put on the lid and invert the tube to mix.
3) Compare the color to the samples and record the results.
Note: ECOsmarte pools and spas should be in the range of 6.8 - 7.2. Ideally the pH should be kept in the low range to "lock" the pH into place and cause the pool to stay balanced and stable. If the pH is 7.2, it is about to rise out of range. The range of 6.8 - 7.2 is recommended because that is the range that the copper is most effective.
Tip: Store test kits in a cool, dry place. Do not store in heat, direct sunlight, or extreme cold. It is recommended to replace test kits every year to ensure accuracy.
How often should I replace the pH Test Kit?
The shelf life of the pH Test Kit is about 18 months. ECOsmarte recommends replacing the test kits every year to ensure accuracy.
