Water Smells Or Tastes Bad In A Well POE
A couple things will make the water taste or smell bad in a well POE:
- The electrode chamber needs to be cleaned.
- The filter media needs to be replaced.
!) The electrode chamber should be cleaned a couple times per year. Clean the chamber if the water smells or tastes bad and see if that solves the problem.
2) The filter media in a city water system typically needs to be changed about every 6-8 years. If chamber cleaning doesn't solve the problem the filter probably needs to be replaced.
