Why Cartridge Filters Don't Work With ECOsmarte

Why cartridge filters don't work with ECOsmarte:

The only types of filters that work with an ECOsmarte pool are sand and DE.  Cartridge filters do not work with ECOsmarte. 

ECOsmarte does not vaporize particles the way chemical sanitation does, so the load on a cartridge filter is just too high.  The amount of maintenance required makes it an illogical choice.  A cartridge filter would need to be cleaned several once per week to keep up.

The type of filter that works best with ECOsmarte is a sand filter with GlassPack Filter Media. The combination of affordability, ease of maintenance and efficiency of filtration - makes it the best choice for non-chemically sanitized pools.
